Today, the Lakeshore West line delivers two-way, all-day service seven days a week, from Union Station to Aldershot GO Station, and hourly service to West Harbour GO Station. It delivers rush-hour service from Hamilton to Toronto in the morning and back again in the afternoon. We know this line can do even more. We know it can be faster, with more trips all day long.

Whether you are traveling to work or visiting friends and family – we’re committed to getting you there better, faster, easier. The Lakeshore West GO Expansion will expand your possibilities. With 15-minute service or better throughout the day between Toronto and Burlington, alongside new hourly service to and from Hamilton seven days a week, you’ll have more ways to get where you need to go.

Convenience

No matter the time of day you want to get moving, you’re going to have transit options. Enter a seamless transit journey that will take you from home to every corner of the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

Service on the Lakeshore West line will increase, offering two-way-all day service between Union and Hamilton and fifteen-minute service or better between Burlington and Union.

Relief

Weekly trips on our GO network are increasing from about 3,500 weekly trips in 2019 to nearly 10,000, meaning even more residents can enjoy the convenience and seamless journey of our transit system. We’re making it easier for you to choose transit first.
