Lakeshore West Line GO Expansion

Mimico GO Station

Metrolinx’s GO Expansion program is now underway to deliver faster, more frequent GO service across core segments of the network, including the capacity for trains every 15 minutes or better on the Lakeshore West line.

To help support this work, Metrolinx is upgrading our stations and rail network to enable more frequent and fully accessible service, including accessibility and amenity upgrades to Toronto’s Mimico GO Station, to help serve you better.

Project overview

Metrolinx is upgrading Mimico GO Station to enhance the customer experience and ensure barrier-free access for GO customers. These upgrades include:

A new east connection with elevator and stair access to the platform level to provide an accessible route to all platforms
A new entrance at Manchester St. and Blue Goose St. with stair and elevator connections to the platforms.
Refurbished platforms that include tactile walking surface indicators at the edge of the platform
Accessibility and customer experience upgrades to the platforms and shelters
