Sure, pictures are worth a thousand words.

But we have a recently released video of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit (LRT) line that speaks volumes about progress now being made on the Toronto route.

Much of the footage was compiled before social distancing rules were implemented, but the overall inside look at the west end stations – from Mount Dennis to Caledonia – gives future riders an idea what their journeys will look like.

It touches on new innovations, as well as preserving history – even the simple experience of the view while riding the escalator down to track level on the LRT system.

Most of us aren’t, unless essential services, using transit much these days. But this video is a good reminder of journeys to come.
