GO Extensions
We’re extending the GO rail network across the Greater Golden Horseshoe to connect more communities
Extensions will build on the GO Expansion program – bringing new or improved service to communities in Durham, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, and Niagara.
Our three extensions projects — Bowmanville, Kitchener, Niagara — include agreements with rail partners and building new rail, bridges, layovers and other supporting infrastructure to enable new, two-way service.
KITCHENER EXTENSION: Unlock hourly all-day service in both directions, increasing to every 30 minutes in the peak direction during rush hours.
BOWMANVILLE EXTENSION: Unlock 30-minute peak-direction service, hourly counter-peak service and trips every two hours on weekends.
NIAGARA EXTENSION: Deliver the new Confederation GO station and connect West Harbour GO to the main track, shortening round trips by up to 20 minutes.
