GO Transit saw a significant increase in ridership for one of the city’s biggest events of the summer.
The 56th edition of the Grande Parade once again showcased the very best of Canadian Caribbean culture and arts.
GO Transit helped customers get to the main event with special weekend GO Train service on the Stouffville and Milton GO Lines.
Customers also benefited from additional service with extra express GO Trains on the Lakeshore West Line.
For decades, GO Transit has helped thousands of carnival-goers get to the Grande Parade and this year was no exception thanks to $10 weekend day passes and $15 weekend passes. GO Transit also had a Carnival tent where kids of all ages got a chance to meet GO Bear, try on costumes, and take pictures in front of the newly wrapped parade-themed GO Bus.
Staff were also on site to give out limited-edition PRESTO card decals with this year’s Carnival theme design and flags of the different islands in the Caribbean.
