Quicker commutes are coming for Kitchener Line customers.

Mar 19, 2025

Ready to save 10 minutes on your commute?

Starting April 5, we’re adding more express GO train options between Kitchener and Georgetown GO stations and Union Station to help get you where you need to go faster and easier.

Three existing morning trips and one existing afternoon rush-hour trip on the Kitchener Line will now run express – cutting down the commute time for some of these trips by about 10 minutes.

Here’s a list of the new express options. These trains will no longer stop at Malton, Etobicoke North, Weston or Bloor GO stations:

  • The 6:08 a.m. train from Kitchener GO will arrive at Union Station at 7:47 a.m.
  • The 6:23 a.m. from Georgetown GO will arrive at Union Station at 7:17 a.m.
  • The 8:37 a.m. from Kitchener GO will arrive at Union Station at 10:15 a.m.
  • The 6:21 p.m. from Union Station will arrive at Kitchener GO at 8:03 p.m.

We’re also adding six new all-stops trips between Malton/Bramalea GO and Union Station so customers at Malton, Etobicoke North, Weston and Bloor GO stations continue to get the frequent service they rely on.

Be sure to check the latest schedules on the GO Transit website as some departure times on the Kitchener Line might have changed.

This is all part of our efforts to bring our customers more flexibility and choice when traveling across the region.

Saving money with transit

kids riding go for free

There’s lots of easy ways to pay for your ride when you jump on the GO – including simply tapping your debit or credit card.

Seniors and students benefit from significant discounts when paying with their PRESTO card.

And did we mention that kids 12 and under ride for free on GO Transit? And for the adults in the group, you can transfer from GO to local transit systems for free thanks to One Fare.

Transit riders now only pay once when traveling between TTC and GO Transit, Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay and York Region Transit.

Simply tap with a PRESTO card, credit or debit, or PRESTO in Mobile Wallet and the savings will automatically be applied.

More affordable transit makes it easier to leave your car at home when commuting to and from work, going to school, heading to a sporting event or concert, or visiting family and friends.

That’s why the province, Metrolinx and local transit partners are working together to connect communities across the region.
