Mount Dennis Magic - Photos of the Day

Take a look at some of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT progress currently being made.

Big things are happening on the western edge of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

The light rail vehicles are testing on nearby tracks at the Eglinton Maintenance and Storage Facility and now crews are getting ready for the power lines to be installed on the actual route near Mount Dennis Station.

The support poles and power lines will allow electricity to flow into the Crosstown LRT vehicles as they glide from one end of Eglinton to the other.

Located at the intersection of Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West, Mount Dennis Station will be a mobility hub, connecting passengers to planned all-day, two-way service of GO Transit’s Kitchener Line, UP Express and an off-street TTC Bus Terminal.

Keelesdale Station was the first station on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project to start construction back in March 2016, and a lot of work has been done since — including the completion of the station box.

Keelesdale will include an off-street bus loop to serve TTC buses, 60 outdoor bicycle parking spots and a new station plaza that will function as an area for people to meet, gather or relax while waiting for their ride.
