Photo of the week – marking a milestone on Eglinton Crosstown
Metrolinx News continues to bring you the latest Crosstown LRT construction progress photos.

A roof over your head and a place to sit down – two of life’s essentials.
And thanks to the hard work of the construction crews, Eglinton Crosstown LRT riders will have both when the project opens late next year.
All the shelters along the above ground sections of the LRT route have been installed. While much of the 19-kilometre line is below ground, there are a number of above ground stops along Eglinton Avenue, east of Laird.
That’s where these pedestrian shelters will come in handy.
While you’re here reading about progress on the project, let’s take one quick peak below ground – where tunnels near Yonge and Eglinton are coming along.
You can also see the concrete track slab has been poured and the banks which will house electrical wiring have also been installed.
Before you go, check out the latest updates inside Oakwood station – work on another roof is wrapping up, all in the name of keeping people warm and dry.
