Everything rides on the rails when it comes to Eglinton Crosstown’s light rail transit (LRT) route. So that’s where we’ll start this progress update, as we look at the latest images of advances along the route.
At the platform level of Fairbank Station, crews have completed the installation of the rail track. Visually, it sets the stage for the future light rail vehicles that will make their way constantly in and out of that Toronto stop.
Meanwhile, at Oakwood Station, there’s more delicate work taking place. Experts are installing the final tiling at platform level.
At Chaplin Station, there’s work happening on the stairs between the platform level and the concourse levels.
And at the railway corridor, the structural steel installation for the center UP Express platform has been completed. Mount Dennis Station will link Crosstown with UP, as well as to GO Transit and TTC buses.
So it all connects. Much like the work in each of these latest images.
