Green space and transit go hand in hand.
That’s a big part of why Metrolinx is working with local communities to protect parks and playgrounds in the heart of a thriving urban jungle.
In the case of the Ontario Line, the project will unlock additional greenspace in some of the most well-used parks in Toronto’s Riverside and Leslieville neighbourhoods including McCleary Playground, Bruce Mackey Park, Jimmie Simpson Park, and Gerrard – Carlaw Parkette.
The overall park space in the community will actually increase once the Ontario Line project is completed.
Join Malcolm MacKay, Metrolinx’s Ontario Line program sponsor, and Daryl Gonsalves, Metrolinx’s community relations specialist, as they tour these parks and talk about Ontario Line plans in this stretch of the route.
