SAFETY REQUIREMENTS SPECIFICATION PD

The purpose of the Safety Requirements Specification document is to state all safety requirements for the system to be used on the project. The safety requirements are defined to control the hazards which are identified and recorded in the Hazard Record as part of the risk assessment process. Effectively establishing and managing safety requirements allows for traceability throughout the project lifecycle to support safe design, testing (verification and validation), acceptance and the safe operation of the system.
