More service to post-secondary institutions, including new express options and more trips.
Aug. 14 – Starting Saturday, Aug. 31, there will be service returning to post-secondary institutions, including some new express options, additional trips on select routes and schedule changes to better reflect travel times.
More buses for GOing back to school
Service to post-secondary institutions returns and Metrolinx is bringing students even more options for back to school, including some new routes and express options:
- Metrolinx is adding two new post-secondary school routes: 29A (University of Guelph / Square One) and 41D (Bramalea / Centennial College).
- There will be more trips on routes 15, 25, 29, 30, 31, 41, 47, 56 and 88.
- Some new express options will be available on routes 25, 30 and 41.
More GO bus service
Metrolinx is adding more bus trips on some routes during busy periods to give customers more options when they need them most.
- Route 27B – Meadowvale / North York: more trips Monday through Thursday.
- Route 96 – Oshawa / Finch: more trips Monday through Thursday.
- Route 36B – Brampton / North York: more trips on Saturdays.
Other changes across the network
Metrolinx is also adjusting schedules to better reflect actual travel times and to improve connections. On most routes, the changes will mean that customers will depart up to 10 minutes earlier or later. On Route 52 (Oshawa/Vaughan), all weekend eastbound trips will depart 25 minutes earlier.
Additionally, a reminder that service to Canada’s Wonderland and Toronto Zoo will soon end for the season. The last day of service to these locations will be Aug. 25.
