Route 21 update & other GO Bus changes

Metrolinx is adjusting a number of GO Bus routes to better meet customer needs.

Starting April 27, GO Bus Route 21 returns to Union Station Bus Terminal due to popular demand.

With most Route 21 buses heading to Union Station Bus Terminal, they will no longer serve Erin Mills Transitway or any of the Lakeshore West GO Stations (Oakville, Clarkson, Port Credit).

GO bus service is also being temporarily reduced on some routes serving post-secondary institutions due to lower demand as classes end for the school term. As usual, service on these bus routes will return in September.

Making transit easier and more affordable

Taking transit, including transferring from one transit system to another, should be convenient and affordable.

Ontario’s new One Fare Program allows transit riders to only pay once when travelling between the TTC, GO Transit and Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay and York Region Transit.

How does One Fare work?

The discount will be applied automatically when customers tap a PRESTO card, credit or debit, or PRESTO in Google Wallet to connect between GO Transit, TTC and the participating transit systems.

Adults commuting five days a week can save up to $1,600 a year thanks to Ontario’s One Fare program.

More affordable transit makes it easier to leave your car at home when commuting to and from work, heading to a sporting event or concert, or visiting family and friends.
