Consultations on rapid transit extension along Sheppard Avenue will be held in June.

June 13 – Metrolinx is seeking community input on concepts for the potential extension along Sheppard Avenue, which would run both east and west of the existing TTC Line 4 subway.

An initial series of consultations for the Sheppard Subway Extension were held in November 2023. The three upcoming community consultations will build on the feedback received during the first round, while presenting a range of transit concepts for consideration. Concepts to be presented include route, station locations, speed, frequency, and capacity.

Consultations help guide further development and planning work on the extension.

These consultations are the next step in developing an initial business case (IBC) and selecting a preferred option for further refinement and design for new transit along Sheppard Avenue.  The IBC will review the potential project at a high level, assessing how it addresses existing problems and opportunities.
