A Year of Progress

The new connection will bridge the gap between Bloor GO and Dundas West TTC stations, reducing the walking distance between platforms to under 100 meters and providing a seamless transit experience. This integration includes features such as elevators, improved wayfinding signage, and covered pathways to enhance passenger convenience, especially for those with mobility challenges.

The work began in May 2024, marking the start of visible changes on the ground. By November, major milestones such as constructing the new elevator shaft and two new staircases had been achieved. These advancements not only reflect meticulous planning but also a commitment to improving accessibility for all passengers.

Another notable development was the arrival of the jet grouter, a piece of heavy machinery integral to foundational work. Complementing this, advanced sensors were installed within the TTC tunnel, showcasing the project’s focus on integrating modern technology to ensure safety and efficiency.
