How much concrete was used on Mount Pleasant station

Talk about a solid effort.
Crews working on Toronto’s Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) route, recently saw the largest concrete pour used on the project. Crosslinx Transit Solutions experts toiling on Mount Pleasant station used 190 concrete trucks worth of the material in just 11 hours at the stop.

The total amount was 1,700m3 (cubic metres). Or another way of looking at would be the equal of 1,700,000 litres of milk – well past expiry.
The concrete was used on sections of the station box, and the experts can now construct the platform and the platform walls.
As well, crews also recently installed massive girders over Eglinton Avenue as part of the GO bridge expansion. These will eventually support GO, UP Express and CN trains.

All in all, not a ‘pour’ showing when it comes to continued progress.
