How our free On the GO alerts can keep you in the know
Receive real-time updates about GO service disruptions and delays.

Travel disruptions are often inevitable, especially on a busy transit system that moves over 40 million people each year. However, trip delays and cancellations can be a lot less stressful if you’re able to switch gears with new information at hand.
On the GO is a subscription alert system that provides GO customers with real-time updates on service disruptions. Alerts are delivered directly to your email and phone by SMS, and may include information on how a trip is affected as well as new departure times.
Launched in 2018 to communicate construction-related alerts to GO customers, On the GO has continued to evolve to help make trip planning a breeze.

Passengers who sign up for On the GO alerts are notified of anything that may affect their trip, including construction, delays, service changes and cancellations. They can also opt to receive updates about station improvements and access changes. This makes On the GO particularly useful right now, since we are currently working on the largest transit expansion in history, with 40 different projects underway across 16 municipalities.
For customers who find that they’re suddenly receiving too many alerts or who want to change the content? Customize the types of alerts you get and the frequency of notification by logging into your On the GO alert account. For instance, riders can select specific days and time periods they wish to receive alerts, which is especially useful for hybrid workers who only travel to the office on certain days of the week. You can even pause alerts while you’re on vacation.
Subscribers can sign into their On the GO alert account directly from email alerts. And if you happen to forget your account password, you can easily reset it yourself on the On the GO website instead of phoning the contact centre.
All of these benefits making signing up for On the GO alerts a no-brainer. It’s free, easy to use and will make your experience of travelling on GO Transit much more seamless.
