This month, keep your eyes peeled for live performances coming to a GO Train near you.

What kind of performances? Well, the show actually takes place on the GO Train.

The show, known as Art in Transit: Luminato on the GO, consists of several actors, who will be in costume and performing an original play beginning at certain GO stations. The performance continues on the GO Train, where actors will go from coach to coach and invite customers to follow along. Finally, the show concludes at Union Station.

With one day dedicated to each GO Line, Art in Transit: Luminato on the GO will run for seven weekdays between June 7 and June 19. The show is run by Luminato Festival, an international arts festival that focuses on media, visual arts and performance. They collaborated with Metrolinx to bring their performances to a new medium: the train.

The plot of the show surrounds a fish on his morning commute to the lake. Riders can expect to see lots of dancing, music and colourful costumes.

In efforts to reach a large variety of GO customers, Art in Transit: Luminato on the GO will be performing on each of the GO Lines, with performances at three GO stations per line.
