VIDEO: It’s tents and tracks while flying over the Crosstown LRT

The Rolling Stones said it best, Gimme Shelter – even as you’re building a light rail transit (LRT) route.

As Toronto, and the region around, shivered through a recent cold snap, we thought we’d show you how crews, working above ground on the Crosstown LRT, deal with the very Canadian climate.

In the ice cool drone video below, you can see how project builders, Crosslinx Transit Solutions, have installed heated tents along the guideway to keep track installation going.

It’s an interesting top-down angle on the route and the amount of work needed to beat the cold.
