CADD/BIM STANDARDS MANUAL

Metrolinx’s forward-thinking approach to technology is driving the development of a digital 3D interface that precisely maps all owned assets, including tracks, signals, facilities, and civil structures. By integrating Building Information Models (BIM) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Metrolinx is creating a digital twin interface that will be bi-directionally linked with its Asset Information Systems for real-time data and document access. To support this vision, the Metrolinx CADD/BIM Standards Manual establishes a standardized framework for consistently developing, managing, monitoring, and maintaining design and construction information for all Metrolinx Owned Assets, including drawings and BIM/Asset Management deliverables.
