Eglinton Crosstown West Extension
- What We're Building
Overview
The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga.
Below you'll find more information about the seven stations and other important infrastructure we're building along the route.
Stations
Renforth Station
A transit hub that will provide connections to MiWay, TTC, and GO bus routes.
Martin Grove StationThis station will be located near local schools and community recreation areas.
Kipling-Eglinton StationBringing rapid transit to schools and multi-storey residential buildings nearby.
Islington-Eglinton StationA station that will be close to popular recreation spaces and local schools.
Royal York-Eglinton StationA station near the historic Mary Reid House and the Eglinton West Trail.
Scarlett StationAn elevated station that will provide access to local trails, parks and bus routes.
Other infrastructure
Elevated guideway
Trains will run on elevated tracks between Scarlett Road and Jane Street.
Tunnel launch shaftThe launch shaft is where the tunnel boring machines are lowered into the ground to start digging.
Scarlett Road portalThe transition point between the western underground portion and elevated segment of the line.
