To keep GO trains running safely, Metrolinx has two maintenance facilities servicing the entire fleet, including the current operations at Willowbrook in Etobicoke and a brand new facility opening soon in Whitby.
These yards are used to park, service, fuel, clean and maintain 78 locomotives and 796 coaches on a regular basis.
Thousands of commuters pass these facilities every day, but don’t have the chance to see what happens within these walls. Until now.
