Crosstown LRT crews get closer to putting down all rail

Along with the most recent images from the Eglinton Crosstown’s light rail transit (LRT) project, comes an interesting statistic on the amount of rail that has been placed along the Toronto line.
Crews report 93 per cent of all rail has been installed on the route. In the image below, you can see some of it being fine tuned at Chaplin Station.
As well, a new progress image from Avenue Station points out that unique concrete pours require unique solutions. In this case, the Avenue team used a cylindrical-shaped formwork to pour the final small sections of tunnel at the end of the station box.
And at Leaside, waterproofing is being applied on top of the roof at the station, marking the completion of the station box structure. Following this, crews will backfill overtop and restore the roadway.
