Explore the Guelph Farmers’ Market with GO Bus
Just steps from Guelph Central GO, routes 29 & 31A make getting to the market easier for GTA riders.

A tradition dating back to 1827, the Guelph Farmers Market offers visitors a range of fresh produce, meat from nearby farms, multicultural food, ciders, artisanal goods and more, every Saturday morning.
While most customers are local, the market’s downtown location, close to Guelph Central GO, makes it perfect for a day trip from the GTA.
Market lead Leanne McGray says about 10 to 12 per cent of customers come from out of town. She says a lot of people come for the apple cider donuts.
Lester Hulegige brought his children, Grace and Nathan to sell produce from his eight-acre farm near Vienna, Ontario.

Apple farms are well represented in the market, offering more than just fresh fruit they also offer baked goods, ciders and preserves.
Locally-sourced meat is also available.
Claire Doerr of Top Market Meats noted that all of their animals are raised on their farm in Ariss, Ontario.
They are patured raised and grassfed.
Rodolfo's Rebel Foods has been in the market for 33 years, selling Latin wraps, tacos and salsa.
Those looking for Chinese food can’t miss another longstanding market tradition. Lin’s Dumplings has been in business for 20 years.
Her stand is right next to Olive Haven, with an assortment of middle eastern foods.
Gift items for sale include beeswax candles, art, wool socks, flavoured gins and greeting cards.

Take GO to the market
Operated by the City of Guelph, the market is open from 7:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
GO Bus service makes the market accessible for GTA residents, as Guelph Central GO is just steps away.
It can be reached by Routes 29 (from the Kipling Bus Terminal, through Mississauga and Milton) and 31A (from Union Station, through Brampton, Georgetown and Halton Hills).
Guelph Central GO is on Carden Street. From the bus stop, travellers can head west, past the distinctive red brick train station to the end of the street. From there, turn left on Wilson Street, cross under railway bridge and you will see the market on the next corner at 2 Gordon Street.

Construction near the area was completed shortly before Christmas, and Metrolinx is thanking the market, their vendors and customers for their patience during this time.
Track improvements are a must before the number of GO Train trips on the Kitchener Line through Guelph can be increased.
Additional GO services will be introduced incrementally as construction advances and key segments of work are completed.
