Holiday travels can be stressful, but planning ahead can help bring some calm to the chaos.

That’s why GO Transit is giving customers the heads up on what they can expect later this month and a chance to save some money while they’re at it.

Let’s start with holiday schedules, and what that means for travel.

Holiday schedules

GO will operate on a holiday schedule on the following dates:

On Monday, Dec. 27, Tuesday, Dec. 28, and Monday, Jan. 3, the UP Express will also be running on a weekend/holiday schedule.

Early homebound and NYE

This year, there will be early homebound trips on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 on the Richmond Hill and Milton GO Lines. As in previous years when early homebound was offered, some afternoon trips on both lines will be cancelled. Some morning trips on the Milton line will also be cancelled.

As in 2020, GO Transit will not be offering free rides on New Year’s Eve. For both early homebound trips and New Year’s Eve trip information, customers should check their schedules.

Weekend passes

GO customers can use a weekend pass for a longer period over the holidays. Between both Dec. 25-28 and Jan. 1-3, customers can get unlimited travel for just $15, one day passes are still $10. Weekend passes are available online only. Click here to buy your e-tickets
