Nobody has just one pair of socks.

And the same is now largely true of face coverings.

Metrolinx has released new limited edition face coverings in five designs – and they not only cover customers, but also support a worthy cause.

They’re available for a limited time and include iconic Metrolinx images like PRESTO cards, GO trains and buses, UP Express trains, GO and UP logos, construction vehicles and two featuring the GO Bear mascot.

Produced in Canada, the face coverings are double-layered and are made with anti-microbial and hypoallergenic microfiber fabric. The ear loop has been designed to offer stretch for comfort with a soft polyester Lycra binding.

There are three sizes – extra-small, medium and large and are intended for kids and adults.

Each face covering is individually wrapped in a resealable package, so they can be safely packed away for reuse.

Like many other places, face coverings are mandatory when travelling on GO and UP Express, and they are the best way to help stop the spread of germs. This is one of the 40+ safety measures implemented by Metrolinx to keep riders safe as the transit agency assures customers that safety never stops.

How much does it cost to ‘smize’ – as supermodel Tyra Banks coined the term which means ‘smiling with the eyes’ – in one of these coverings? Each cost $7.50 plus tax. And $2 from each sale will be donated to United Way.

The face coverings are available for purchase through cashless payment options, including debit and credit.
