Metrolinx pic pick – The other-world of Crosstown’s Avenue dig

Take a look at some of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT progress currently being made.

May 24, 2019

Avenue Station – located 32 metres below Toronto – is one of the most dramatic digs along the epic Crosstown light rail transit line.

But a new photo of work now taking place, was easily our favourite image of the week.

To get fully up to speed on the progress of the stop at Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue West – as well as trivia on how many dinosaurs you could hide inside the tunnels – check out our previous Crosstown Progress report. Just click here.

But even if you have already seen it, spend some time going over the details in this latest image from the dig, being done by our construction partners, Crosslinx Transit Solutions. It’s another world, far below the one most of us are living in.

Keep checking back for our continuing progress series.
