Metrolinx town hall coming to Burlington

Public forum allows customers and residents to ask transit questions in-person and online.

For customers and community members, a trip to Burlington GO station today (Feb. 5) won’t involve stepping onto a train or bus.

But there will be a voyage of discovery.

Metrolinx CEO Phil Verster and his senior management team are coming to Burlington tonight (from 7 to 8:30 p.m.) as part of their public town hall series.

The community gatherings – which started more than a year ago – are your opportunity to ask questions about Metrolinx services (GO Transit, PRESTO and UP Express) as well as regional transit planning and anything else transit-related that is top of mind for you.

The event is being held at the Burlington GO station, located at 2101 Fairview St.

If you can’t make it in person, you can participate online by going to Metrolinx Engage and watching the livestream. If that doesn’t work, you can also submit questions on Metrolinx Engage for Phil and his team to answer.

While passengers usually move swiftly through the station, this time, the pause will be illuminating for transit customers and members of the community.
