Now let’s speed things up a bit.

Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit vehicles recently made their way from Laird Station back to the Eglinton Maintenance and Storage Facility (EMSF).

The six vehicles, the same that have been used for testing along the surface over the summer, headed back to the home-base facility for their regularly scheduled maintenance. With the last piece of track installed, the vehicles were able to make the entire journey along the tracks, under their own power.

Now we have a time-lapse video of the trips, taken earlier this month.

While the actual speed was a bit of a crawl, as experts were testing things out, this view is a lot faster, and provides an interesting view of the route below Toronto.
